Brake Controller Location Guide
for Monaco Brand Motor Homes

May, 2007

This guide will assist Unified Tow Brake installers in locating the connector for the Tow Brake Controller on pre-wired Monaco brand motor homes.

Location

Gas models: LaPalma, Vacationer, Simba, Admiral, Monarch, Trek

4-pin connector (mates directly to tow brake controller)

Under the dash on the left side of the steering column hanging loose by the fuse block (see Fig. 3)

(Note: Prior to November 2006, this connector was being attached to the firewall in the far left corner of the dash and is difficult to reach. See Fig. 4)

Diesel models: Diplomat, Endeavor, Knight, Ambassador, Simba RD

5-wire 6-pin connector (see Service Memo regarding Monaco coaches pre-wired with 6-pin connector)

Under shifter panel or secured to front edge of shifter console (see Fig. 1)

(Note: Prior to November 2006, this connector was behind I/P panel secured to headlamp switch drop or secured to the diagnostic plug drop to the left of the steering column.)

Diesel models: Windsor, Camelot, Scepter, Cheetah

5-wire 6-pin connector (see Service Memo regarding Monaco coaches pre-wired with 6-pin connector)

Behind I/P panel secured to headlamp switch drop or secured to the diagnostic plug drop to the left of the steering column.

Diesel models: Cayman, Neptune, LaPalma, Vacationer

5-wire 6-pin connector (see Service Memo regarding Monaco coaches pre-wired with 6-pin connector)

Behind I/P secured to the main harness trunk or secured to the diagnostic plug drop to the left of the steering column. (see Fig. 2)

Diesel model: Simba FRED

5-wire 6-pin connector (see Installation Supplement for EC-4128 Pigtail Harness)

Behind the steering column at floor level, by the emergency brake. Connector is labeled Dash H Body TBC. (see Fig. 5)
